Staircase
Configuration of a staircase - selection of style, dimensions, CAD drawings, cutting list
Initial selection of Style / Model
The first step is to select the type of staircase - options are selected from a drop-down menu - a graphic is displayed depicting each available option - the displayed CAD drawing is from the previous configuration - so not realted to this quote

---------2nd selection of Style / Model
Another style - but now the one we want

-----------Final selection of Style / Model
This is the style we want - so we select it and enter the dimensions- Floor opening width and length
- Tread width
- Centre gap
- Total rise
- Dinension run of traeds
- Number of risers
- Timber type for each component: Stringer, tread, riser and nosing

----------------Handling of errors
We accept the dimensions - but we have a problem, one of the entered dimensions is wrong. The decision logic identifies the offending error and displays an error message.

-------------------Final selection after any errors are corrected
Once we have corrected the error, we can run the CAD process to generate the tread requirements, this is done with an embed LISP program running inside the DAC program (in this case it's IntelliCAD from CADopia)

-----------------------------Selection of baluster style and spacing
Now we can select the baluster style and spacing

--------------------Varying the baluster style and spacing
We have a number on baluster styles available, we can run the CAD generation to see how each style and spacing will look

----------------------Final baluster style and spacing
Here is the final view of the selected style and spacing - so now we can generate the final CAD drawings and calculate the cutting using the embedded LSIP program

------------------------------Generation of time and material, cost, price and margin
Now the Bill of Resources can be generated, this imports the tread list and dimensions from CAD and uses the staircase dimensions and number baluster spacing to calculate the number of balusters and the timber requirements. This forms the basis of the quote. At this point the labour costs and the quote price are calculated

-----------------------------------------Creation of the Work Order
We can use the CAP-Suite "List and Label" program to generate a work order and we can select export options for saving / emailing the resulting Work Order
